Replaced shelves in existing storage cupboard, by Romy

Often, the base of a (storage) cabinet is still in good condition and therefore a shame to discard. Due to water damage at Romy's place, the shelves of her storage furniture were completely warped. Following water in our basement, the previous cabinets we had bought became completely wet. As a result, the wooden shelves on them were completely warped. I then searched for a manufacturer who could cut wood to size at a reasonable price. I quickly found this convenient webshop. The website clearly indicated which type of wood I should use for my project. Additionally, it was very easy to enter the desired dimensions. Due to the quick delivery time and the attractive price, I decided to order 20 shelves. A little later, I was able to tidy up my basement again.

How I Made This Project

Since I already had the frame from my previous storage cabinets, I didn't have to do much more than put the shelves in the cabinet. Because my previous shelves were so warped from being wet, I chose to varnish them first and then paint them white. This way, the storage space is a bit brighter in the dark basement. Now I'm still considering installing LED lighting in it to make the cabinet even brighter.
