A DIY project for the kitchen

Ronja has enhanced her kitchen with custom-made fronts made of 18 mm thick Plywood Marine A/B. Choosing Plywood Marine A/B for the kitchen fronts gives the kitchen a natural and warm feel. Thanks to Plywood Marine A/B, the wood was cut to size with precision, making the project a real eye-catcher.

Materials and construction

The kitchen fronts are made of robust multiplex, known for its stability and durability. The warm wood tone of the fronts harmonizes perfectly with the modern design of the kitchen. This combination of materials creates an elegant contrast to the light-colored worktop and white wall cabinets.

Perfect placement

The new kitchen fronts look particularly good in the cozy corner of the kitchen, which receives plenty of natural light from the large windows. The choice of Plywood Marine A/B not only brings a homely atmosphere to the room, but also adds a touch of Scandinavian design.

Unique features

A highlight of the project is the custom cabinet sizes, made possible by TOSIZE.de's precise cutting. This allows the kitchen to offer ample storage space while maintaining a stylish look. The simple yet effective cabinet handles simplify handling and contribute to the minimalist aesthetic.

Scandinavian style

The Scandinavian style of the kitchen is emphasized by the combination of natural materials and minimalist design. The clean lines and simple design create a space that is both functional and visually appealing.

Advantages of Plywood Marine A/B

The Plywood Marine A/B used for the fronts is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. Plywood Marine A/B is valued for its moisture resistance, making it an ideal choice for kitchen elements. Furthermore, it is easy to work with and offers a smooth surface suitable for various finishes.

Klüssentipps

An important tip for DIY enthusiasts: Be sure to treat Plywood Marine A/B with a high-quality sealant to ensure the surface's longevity. Use spirit levels when attaching the fronts to ensure uniform heights.

Step by step guide

Preparation

  • We ordered the wooden boards according to the IKEA Metod dimensions. Then I prepared the wood with a worktop oil.

Montage

  • We ordered the IKEA hinges along with the rest of the furniture and then inserted them into the wood using a template.

Finish

  • Installing the fronts was then very easy. They just had to be adjusted to the correct height and now we are enjoying our new kitchen.
