Description

A bedroom chest of drawers with 4 drawers and two open compartments. The drawers are push to open with Blum drawer guides. The blade is Iroko sanded with oil.

Work description: how did you realize your project

I've had the plan for some time, but it never came to fruition. First I made a drawing for the proportions and looked at the distribution of the drawers and the compartments. Elaborated for exact measurements. Also with the dimensions of the drawer runners. Assembled with lamellos and wood glue. With some matching boards for the inner dimensions. Made and mounted the drawers. And put the top of iroko in the oil. (Rigo royl, sanding) Securing the fronts was a difficult job, because the space between the fronts was a bit tight at 2 mm. Next time 3mm. Took some time, occasionally a weekend or evening. But I am very happy with the result.

Final size: What are the outer dimensions?

150.0 cm wide, 40.0 cm high and 35.0 cm deep. The legs are 18.0 cm.
